Jesus went down with his parents to Nazareth and was obedient to them. (LUK 2:51) He followed his father's trade as a carpenter and ate his bread by the sweat of his brow. From this, his fellow citizens of Nazareth stated: "Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary?" (MRK 6:3)
