There was made a most obvious manifestation of the trinity. The Son of God in the human nature which he assumed ascended out of the water and was praying. The heavens were opened and the Spirit of God was seen in a bodily shape like a dove and descended on him. The voice of the Father was heard from heaven and said: "This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased." (MAT 3:16,17 MRK 1:10,11 LUK 3:21,22)
