On the first day of unleavened bread, when the passover was slain (April 2) his disciples asked Jesus where they should prepare it. He sent Peter and John into the city and told them that they would meet a man carrying a pitcher of water. They should follow him to his house and ask the owner of it for the use of the guest chamber. They would find the guest chamber already furnished by the good man of the house. (MRK 14:12-16 26:17-19)
