Bible in Basic English
The Bible translated from the Hebrew and Greek into Basic English, a vocabulary of about a thousand words, by a committee under S. H. Hooke and published whole by Cambridge University Press in 1965. It says the sense in the simplest words that carry it, so it reads unlike any other English text here; its New Testament follows the critical Greek text.
