Clementine Vulgate
The Latin Bible of the Western Church, largely Jerome's translation of around 400, in the edition Pope Clement VIII issued in 1592, which was the Catholic Church's official text until 1979. Its Psalms are Jerome's revision from the Greek, numbered as the Greek numbers them; it holds the seventy-three books of the Catholic canon. The medieval commentary printed around it in this edition is not included.
